From Dubai…

Posted by Amar Singh in Personal

New buildings with installed cranes are stalled probably due to economic melt down in Dubai. But, surprisingly still many infrastructure projects are uninterrupted indicating that this beautiful city is likely to come back on track very soon. Wonderful infrastructure, beautiful ambiance and large number of tourists do not reflect any burden of finance on Dubai.
Jayaji checked in earlier than Amitji and Anil left for Goa with promise to come back again to be with us at least for a day. …

Posted by Amar Singh in Amar Singh Opinion, General

India has held Asian Games, SAF Games, Afro-Asian Games in the past. Holding such events helps the country in many ways. Atalji, the last Mogul…

Posted by Amar Singh in Political Debates

Nation remembered former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday a couple of days back. Though Atalji belongs to a political party I never supported but personally I always loved him. He is a stalwart in his own right and I don’t mind calling him the last Mogul of contemporary India. I feel that apart from Gandhi family, Atalji has been the only post-independent era politician who managed to capture the imagination of the entire nation. Atalji is a …

In response to you, the readers…

Posted by Amar Singh in General

It’s been just few days since I started my blog and ventured into the online world, and I’ve already received over 30000 views and close to 150 comments! I wish to thank all those who have taken an interest to interact with me. We politicians are generally spoiled by sycophancy and rarely get to know the real public opinion about us and the work we do. This was precisely the reason for using this platform to interact and begin blog. So …

Miracles do happen…..

Posted by Amar Singh in Personal

I came back from Dubai today along with my elder brother Shri Amitabh Bachchan. Amitji is a great believer of God but not Godmen. I remember Chandraswamy trying to get in touch with him during his heydays but Amitji consciously kept himself at bay from him. We met two gentlemen in Dubai. One was in touch with spirits and was able to ignite fire anywhere, anytime and it was signal of arrival of spirit and thereafter spirit used to respond to …

Why did Ruchika have to die?

Posted by Amar Singh in General

When Ruchika  Girhotra was assaulted by then Haryana police IG S.P.S. Rathore in Panchkula in 1990, we all were shocked. But that isn’t where this horrid tale ended! The innocent girl committed suicide 3 years later. Dear Ruchika’s life shouldn’t have ended like this. Now, 19 years later, the man responsible walks out of the court with a smile on his face and promising an appeal. Is this justice? Does Rathore only warrant “six months of rigorous imprisonment and a …

Uttar Pradesh By-Election: From the ashes we rise

Posted by Amar Singh in Political Debates

I am happy that I have become shield of my leader to face all the accusations. And this is how it should be. The Firozabad defeat was a sour one for the SP and I have no qualms in admitting the same; nor does Mulayam Singhji. But is this reason for chaos to reign in our party? Is this so much unheard in the history of this democracy where a powerful, pro-voter party (or candidate) has lost?
It happened to Indira …

Copenhagen Summit: India bows under US pressure

Posted by Amar Singh in Political Debates

Indian culture speaks of “Vasudhaev Kutumbkam”, which means the entire humanity is a family. But the way different countries, particularly rich countries behaved in Copenhagen, is far from our philosophy. It is after decades of abusing Mother Earth that we now realize the consequences of our greed. She is ailing and in need of those who have devoured her to repair the damage. This is a fact almost everyone would vaguely recall from one or many sources of information. Now, …

A New Beginning: The Singapore Diary

Posted by Amar Singh in Personal

In those trying days during my surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, I understood many things and many people whom I would never have fully gauged on any podium. I saw the intentions and the agendas of many- glaring, searching for fulfillment, for resolution, for their benefit! This was also the time when my dear wife hadn’t eaten a single bite in the two days of post-operation recovery. There I was, helpless within myself, not to others. My family …
