बनारस और गोरखपुर पिछले दो दिनों में बड़ा ही अनूठा रहा . बनारस में अति पिछड़ों का सम्मलेन, कुशवाहा भाइयों के साथ रात्रि भोज और प्रातः बाबा विश्वनाथ की विधिवत पूजा के बाद सड़क के रास्ते बनारस-गोरखपुर यात्रा अदभुत रही. कल तक मुझको छूने की होड़ में धक्का-मुक्की करने वाले समाजवादी पार्टी के छोटे-बड़े नेताओं की भीड़ गुम थी. नवजवानों की नयी टोलियाँ, बूढों की तरसती आंखे और कौतुहल से मेरी ओर देखती माएं और बहनों के स्नेहसिक्त परिवार के प्रेम ने दलीय समर्थकों की नदारत टोली की कमी को पूरा कर डाला और मेरा त्यागपत्र और उसकी स्वीकृति कितनी सामयिक है, इस तथ्य का बोध भी मुझे भली-भांति हो गया.
२५ जून १९७५ को चंद्रशेखर जी ने लोकनायक जयप्रकाश के लिए दिल्ली में अपने साऊथ एवेन्यू स्थित घर पर चाय का आयोजन किया, जिसमे काफी सांसद और मंत्री आये थे. एकाध दिन में इसी चाय पार्टी से उद्देलित हो कर तत्कालीन कांग्रेस सरकार ने आपातकाल की घोषणा कर दी और चंद्रशेखर जी की गेस्ट लिस्ट के तमाम साथियों में मात्र रामधन, कृष्णकांत और मोहन धारिया रह गए. कुछ जगजीवन राम जैसे लोग चुप रह कर फटने की प्रतीक्षा करते रहे. आज मेरे साथ खुल कर सगड़ी के विधायक सर्वेश आये. कई गुपचुप मिले कहने लगे हम आधुनिक युग के जगजीवन बाबू है, नाम न खोलिए, सही वक्त पर फटेंगे. मुझे लगता है कि प्रदेश की जनता अधीर है. परिवारवाद, जातिवाद और तानाशाही से बेजार है, चाहे वह किसी नेता की हो या फिर किसी दल की. बनारस की भीड़ और गोरखपुर में कड़कडाती सर्दी में विभिन्न दलों और मतों का समन्वय स्वान्तः सुखाय मुझ जैसे कनिष्ट व्यक्ति को तन्मयता एवं एकाग्रता के साथ श्रवण कर रहा है, यह मेरी उपलब्धि नहीं, बल्कि स्थापित दलों एवं उनके नेताओं से जनता की भारी निराशा का परिणाम है. सत्ता और कुर्सी के निराले खेल में उपयोगी और प्रासंगिक व्यक्ति महत्वपूर्ण और जो नहीं वह भूतपूर्व. मुझसे मेरे पिता कहते थे कि “जरदार मर्द नाहर चाहे घर रहे चाहे बाहर, बेजार मर्द बिल्ली चाहे घर रहे चाहे दिल्ली”.
आजकल माननीय कल्याण सिंह जी को मुझसे चस्पा करने की बड़ी कोशिश चल रही है. अरे भाई, दुल्हे से ही पूंछ लो कि समाजवादी पार्टी में उसे कौन लाया था. मै जब इलाज के लिए सिंगापुर में था तो आगरा अधिवेशन में आमंत्रित कर किसने कल्याण सिंह जी को लाल टोपी पहना कर उनके नाम का खुद जयजयकारा किया. मेरे दल के पश्चिम के तीन विधायक जान कर अनजान है, कहते है, कल्याण फैक्टर के जिम्मेदार अमर सिंह है. भाई, साजिश न करो, नेता से हुकुम करा दो यह इल्जाम भी सरे तस्लीम ख़म है. वैसे आजकल मेरा हाल कुछ यूँ है कि-
“जिल्लेइलाही मेरे खिलाफ,
मुंसिफ मेरे खिलाफ,
गवाह मेरे खिलाफ”
बाहर धुंध है पर मेरे जीवन की धुंध छट गयी है, मेरा इस्तीफ़ा जो मंजूर हो गया है.

If you have visited PVR theater, you must have seen them play National Anthem before the movie. I always wonder if that is really our dear National Anthem or is it a distorted musical version of it. National Anthem has a definite tune of music and it runs precisely for 52 seconds. PVR’s version is no where closer to it. Moreover, the National Flag they show on the screen too appears of wrong dimensions. So far so fine, I always thought why to make an issue out of it … after all it is ‘chalta hai’ kind of issue as far the government agency is concerned who should be looking into it at first place.
The shocking part is, today morning on the Republic day I got to hear yet another musical version of the Anthem. The worst part, it was played on government owned DoorDarshan. That is really shocking. How come on earth they can distort and play such a thing, and that too all of a sudden without any advance notice or reason, just as a filler between two programs. Any way I observed my attention for definitely longer than 52 seconds. Still worst, even DoorDarshan is showing out of proportion national flag in some of their video clips on this republic day. Shocking !!!!

I sincerely request you to kindly disassociate from the people or mentality that thinks you are trying to fight for the cause of kshatriyas or rajputs. The plight of this particular section of community is due to consistent infighting and lack of accommodation to modern thinking and cooperation. I feel that mostly the kshtriyas ( I am not including aristocratic erstwhile rajah and kunwars) are relatively more accepted among other other communities due to their credibility and courage. However, they have never been identified as potential vote bank and suffered heavily.Anybody can add ones surname with ease and conviction; without being pointed out. Only The Rajputs will be ridiculed for that. We have served the country since ancient age mostly as sainiks under any damn ruler but we never get admired for that . Still I feel that ‘Thakuramarsingh’ is too crude especially when your intentions are to fight for most backwards and unrepresented masses.

जौनपुर। रहिमन देख दिनन का फेर। वक्त कर हा शय गुलाम, आदि कहावतें इन दिनों कभी सपा में दूसरे नम्बर के नेता रहे अमर सिंह प्रकरण में शत-प्रतिशत चरितार्थ होती नजर आ रही है। कल तक अमर सिंह को मसीहा बताकर खम ठोकने वाले कई स्वजातीय दिग्गज न केवल अब इस मामले में कन्नी काट रहे हैं बल्कि स्पष्ट रूप से खुद को इस मामले से कोई लेना-देना न होने की दुहाई दे रहे हैं।
अमर सिंह के खासमखास रहे कुछ लोगों से जब भविष्य की सियासत में उनके रुख के बारे में पूछा गया तो उन्होंने अपना नाम न छापने की शर्त पर कहा कि पार्टी बड़ी होती है व्यक्ति नहीं, हालांकि लगे हाथ यह भी कहा कि उनके साथ जो हुआ वह कहीं से उचित नहीं है।
बहरहाल देखो व प्रतीक्षा करो की तर्ज पर अभी इन सपाई दिग्गजों को विश्वास है कि जल्द ही पार्टी का शीर्ष नेतृत्व नफा-नुकसान को समझकर अमर सिंह को यथोचित सम्मान देगा।
अभी दो दिन पूर्व वाराणसी में क्षत्रिय महासभा के बैनर तले आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में अमर सिंह की उपस्थिति की पूर्व घोषणा के बावजूद इस जिले से सपा के महज एक युवा नेता मनोज कुमार सिंह की ही सक्रियता दिखी, बाकी सभी दूर से ही मामले पर नजर रखे हुए थे।
कुछ दिन पूर्व जब कभी सपाई दिग्गज रहे अमर सिंह का कार्यक्रम इस जिले ही नहीं बल्कि आसपास के जिलों में जब भी होता रहा तो यहां के तमाम सपाई दिग्गज न केवल बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लेते रहे बल्कि मंच पर उन्हें गदा, तलवार भेंट करने वाले व मुकुट पहनाने वालों की लम्बी कतार दिखती थी। अब जब समय बदला व अमर सिंह सपा में हाशिये पर पहुंच गये तो यहां उनके समर्थकों का टोटा नजर आने लगा। खुद को खांटी सपाई जताने के लिए उनके खासमखास माने जाने वाले नेता 18 जनवरी को हुए पार्टी के जनान्दोलन में खासे सक्रिय नजर आये।

While working for downtrodden should be your aim but dont forget the economic weakers of the society irresepectve their color, caste and creed.
In long run only those will survive in politics who would take up the cause of poverty eliviation and helping poor.
Caste factor may play some role in coming elections in UP but again issue based politics and hard coe issues plaguing our nation needs to be given priority.
If you engage either in Yadva or Dalit vote baks it may not yield desired results.I think masters of BSP and SP are realising in the face of uprising aginst them. Even Maya had to see this point of view.
While talking of this really is there need to float a new party or one can stll work with a like minded party. This should be clearly viewed before arriving at any decision.

Well I have few questions to be answered by Mr. Amar Singh ji.
1 Why did you choose to put “Tahkur” worrd before your name in the website.
2 Why are you with SP when Thakurs have np place in SP.
3 Do you know important peole of the community like Raja Anand Singh ji etc. of Manakapur Royalty have been badly treated in the SP and were forced to go out of the SP.
4 Don’t you think that MS had stage managed SP as a family concern. To the extent that whole Yadav family has got into politics and enjoyed the fruits. Now it is limit that they decided to field Bahu of Akihlesh from Ferozabad and got the treat from the public.
5 If you have any respect for the thakur community I think it is hard time for you to decide your continuance with SP.
6 What are credentials from SP that it is the party of Socialists belonging to Lohiya thinking. Of late it has become pary of money swindlers like Mayawati.
7 I am from the heartland of the place from where Mr. MS got his graduate degree, but the Ahirs of that area also have gone against him. Today they all might be feeling little cheated by the confidence that they reposed in their leader MS, who failed them and their confidence.
8 MS can not take pride in calling himself the leaders of Ahirs (Yadavs) is nice it is in his times lawlessness increases like any thing and the members of other communities become target of ransom and loot that goes on openly in the villages.
9 It is my view that you as a important person of the community either take a serious view or decide to come out of SP and create your own party which should work for betterment of the community. After all it is not a low achievement that even today we have more than 70 odd parliamentarians despite the population is less than 4% of 120 billion people of India. Some one is required to lead the destiny of the community and you could be the one….

I have read your comments and my response to each of your question is as following.
1. I am not ashamed of being a Thakur moreover amarsingh.com domain name was not available.
2. It is wrong to say that Thakurs have no place in SP; I have grown as a politician in this party only.
3. Raja Anand Singh of Mankapur was well respected in SP and even I personally visited his house. His son Kirtivardhan was given SP nomination for Lok Sabha election but at last moment he got scared of opposition from local politicians particularly Pandit Singh. Instead of giving a good fight like a true Rajput he decided to run away.
4. Representation of family members has become a usual affair in Indian politics across all political parties. Gopinath Munde’s daughter, Late Pramod Mahajan’s daughter, Chhagan Bhujbal’s son, President Pratibha Patil’s son, and Vilasrao Deshmukh’s son, all were given tickets in recent assembly elections in Maharshtra, then why to single out only my leader Mulayam Singhji…what is good for Peter should be good for Paul too.
5. Had there been a composite unity amongst Rajputs, Britishers and Mugals would not have ruled India. Rajputs should get united under one umbrella to realize their share in political power; a political outfit only for Rajput community may not be a feasible idea.
6. Even China and Russia have moved on after Marx, Lenin, and Mao. Pragmatism of market economy has started looming large on them. Same thing is happening with essentially socially moorings in our party. They are getting blended with modernity. It can not be attributed that we are diverting from the path of socialism.
7. Victory and defeat are 2 opposite sides of same coin. Success should not make one euphoric and failure should also not make one get into one’s shell. Hold on please, Yadavs will by and large remain intact with Netaji, they will not go anywhere.
8. Please don’t compare Mulayam Singh Ji’s regime with that of Mayawati on account of law & order, the recent case of suicide by a Sr. IAS officer should be an eye opener for you.
9. I would rather make an endeavor to bring about desired changes in my party than to leave it at this juncture of crisis, rest in the hands of the God.

Today I read a news that one “jack” with name Mohan Singh has demanded for your resignation from Raj Sabha. You should not fall into this trap and just don’t bother to reply them. You were elected not because of the party support but because of your own financial and management strenghts. So nobody has a right to demend your resignation. You are a self made person and you should remain tall. You have full right to remain memeber of Raj Sabha. Just don’t care who talks what about you and now try not to answer any call from Samajwadi party. You have mass support in Eastern UP and try to nurture your team.

Ignore your critics within SP for a while. The days of Mulayam Singh are gone primarily because of his attempts to convert his party into a family party. Now these folks are shouting – Mr. Ramgopal and Mohan Singh – they would just have been one MPs among many in this country. Thanks to Mr. Amar Singhjee’s effort of converting SP from a narrow provincial / casteist party into more inclusive and more national level party. We will see what happens after next election – SP will be decimated if they do not change..Akhilesh is neither charismatic nor smart and networked…..he will realize his mistakes when it’s late….Amar Singhjee aap padesaan na hoyen……Ishwar aur Niyati sub kuch theek kad dega…You enjoy your life for sometime and god willing you will once again be the king of kingmakers…..

Raj Thackeray new hungama, now offers marathi lessson to North Indians
Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s is taking its lingua fracas a step further. After its jingoistic war cry on taxi permits for
only Marathis last week, the MNS now plans to actually teach the native language to North India taxi and auto operators in the city.
The announcement, made by MNS’ transport wing, also indicates a rather mellowed position on the issue after the MNS chief’s threat that the MNS won’t let a single taxi run on the Mumbai streets if the state government did not give licences to only Marathi manoos. The transport wing of MNS on Monday distributed Marathi alphabets books to taxi drivers, giving them 40 days to speak the language.
“We have given Marathi alphabets books to 300 North Indian taxi drivers in Kurla with a deadline of 40 days to learn the language,” Maharashtra Navnirman Vahtuk Sena president Haji Arafat Sheikh said.
The transport wing of MNS has ordered 50,000 Marathi books to be distributed among taxi and auto drivers who can’t speak Marathi, Mr Sheikh said.
“It is very shocking that people earning here for more than 15 years and cannot communicate in Marathi. They must learn the language, else will book their tickets to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar,” Sheikh warned.
Meanwhile, the MNS activists also put hoardings in the city on Monday asking the North Indian drivers to learn the language in 40 days failing which they would be sent back to their states.
Last week, the MNS latched on to an issue handed over to it on the platter by chief minister Ashok Chavan who initially said a functional knowledge of Marathi was compulsory to obtain taxi permits in Maharashtra but later retracted saying that the state would treat Gujarati or Hindi as optional languages. The MNS and Shiv Sena criticised the chief minister with the former being more ballistic. But now, the MNS seems to have mellowed its stand as it appears game for non-Marathi taxi drivers who can “learn” Marathi.

The decline in influence of Thakur leaders in Indian politics has been a cause of concern among the once-dominant Rajput community. Raghuraj Pratap Singh, independent MLA Raja Bhaiya never accepted Rajput community as Thakur leaders by dinner diplomacy to disprove your claim that the Thakur community would realy behind you. Thakur community has given golden opportunity to Raja Bhaiya in past but he refused to take the golden challenge thus Raja Bhaiya has committed social crime against Thakur community earlier and now he has attacked with the sword in back of the kshatriya community through dirty dinner diplomacy. Thakur kshatriya community advised Raja Bhaiya to not again become instrument of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh who have used and remoed many kshatriya such as Late Sri Ajit Singh and others.
‘Thakur’ Amar Singh Ji your strategy to counter these affairs are not so effective. to counter yadav parivar by statement is not enough we have to made concrete strategy for successful implementation by think tank .please do not relie on present Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha official because they can leave you any stage with assurance of one seat adjustment of any SP, BSP, BJP OR Congress party.In past they have gone to above party but fail to do so. A group of social workers [think tank] want to meat you to form concrete strategy for future implementation.
