Today it is quite shocking to know that more than sixty people have died and equal numbers are injured in a stampede when the entry gate of an overcrowded spiritual ashram in Mangarh village near Kunda town in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh district suddenly got collapsed. The state and district authorities are sure to be blamed for this callous mismanagement. Whenever we have such large-scale festivities the administration has to be prepared well in advance to meet the challenges in case of any such unforeseen mishap. The insensitive ill-shapen administrative approach led to this tragedy resulting in the loss of many innocent lives.
India is a country where large number of people gathers for religious and cultural events on a regular basis across the country. It is quite sad to know that every year many people are dying in stampedes in our country and our administration never awakens. Why the local police and authority don’t presume about such unforeseen circumstances in advance and force the organizers to take proper safety measures to maintain calm in case of any eventualities. Why should somebody die because of lethargic management of the organisers and the local administration? The state government should investigate the matter swiftly to find the reason for this tragedy and punish the people involve in the mismanagement. Safety measures should be implemented properly in large congregation to avoid such mishaps.

This is what we people of India like. We go for this kind of gathering to get one time food and return to home as a dead body. Every times this kind of stampede occurs at the religious site, my belief about supreme power get faded.
Dear Ganesh Bhai, all this is “Vidhi Ka Vidhan”, we should not blame all mighty for our wrong doing. But you are absolutely right that most this kind of unfortunate incidences take place at religious locations only, therefore our administration needs to be more vigilant.
Whenever any tragedy happen in India people say Vidhi ka Vidhan.It is easy to pass the buck to Vidhi because nobody can catch him or search him and put him on trial.
For thousands of year India suffered this curse. But did anybody thought why Vidhi never helped India by helping in War with Foriegn Invaders.
Hats off Mr. Chauhan for your briefly expressed genesis of faulty thoght process especially prevailing in Indian way of thinking. If all is the ‘Vidhi ka vidhan’ then why is Amar Singh lamenting for his ‘misfortune caused by SP’.

जिस बाबा पर पहले से कई गंभीर आरोप लगे हों, कई बातों पर छीछालेदर हो चुकी हो ऐसे शख्स के लिये समाज में ‘जी’ जब तक लगाया जाता रहेगा…इसी तरह के हादसों से रूबरू होना पडेगा। इस तरह के बाबाओं पर जब न्यूज चैनलों में खबरें चलती हैं तो जी लगाकर संबोधित किया जाता है। अब भी देख रहा हूँ – कृपालुजी महाराज के भंडारे मे….bla bla bla…height of stupidity…..thats ‘जी’…
और हो भी क्यों न..आखिर सुबह सुबह प्रवचन का पेमेंट भी तो यही ‘जी’ के जीवाष्म वाले लोग ही करते हैं न्यूज चैनलों पर…. ऐसे में ‘जी’ लगना स्वाभाविक है। अफसोस कि न्यूज चैनल इस कर्मकाण्ड के भागीदार बनते जा रहे हैं।
Now the time has come when Indian Govt. should also do the recuritment of DM and Deputy Commissioners from private Sectors.
All india services as well private sector should compete for the important administration posts
This will benifit people of India
Any DM or official responsible for Administration of Law and order should pass physical and mental test every year .
For DM 5 km running in 35 Minutes should be the criteria.
For SSP it should be 30 Minutes.
All Senior Govt. officers must pass the Psychology tests .The tests should ensure that the candidate is not a sadist , corrupt and fanatic.
The examiners should come from Universities like Harward , Stanford or Cambridge. This is to reduce the changes of examination paper leak and coaching scam.
All the above mentioned tests should happen every year.Then only India can avert such incidents in future
Mr. Chauahn, here you are raising a huge administrative question and if one goes by your advice, entire federal system will collapse. In a federal system, state governments have a very important role to play, let us not blame the system for the failure of those manages it.

I view the same. It is not far when we shall be compelled to take steps such as privatization of administration machinery. The government administration has totally collapsed every where. I squarely blame the executive cadre for these state of affairs and for their hopelessly indifferent attitude and Callousness towards their work and responsibility.
Yes, there should be yearly performance appraisal by third party and there must be some benchmark process set in place to chuck the inefficient ones out.
The bad attitude and moral corruption problem is not only rampant in Senior officers but almost at all levels.
For the Senior posts of Police Department . The cost effective solution would be to select the DSP, SSP, IG from Forward Combat units for the period of only 3 year or whatever time Govt. thinks is the less then the time to turn a Normal person into a corrupt person
After three year they should return to their unit and never come back.
The system of Jury should be inplemented again to bring sanity and trust of common people

After more than sixty years of independence , it is really disheartneing to hear the death of the poor and needy. What needs to be addressed is not on micro level but macro level that people in the independent india still need to line up to satiate their hunger, whereas the rich and famous make a vulgar display of wealth and indulge in criminal waste of money. It is apart from the calluos beahviour of administation and the organiser but a sordid tale of the politicians and rich and famous. People rich and famous can go and dole out diamonds and gold to dieties at Triupati Vaishno Devi, Shirdi shrines but cant these people have a more humane and long vision to adopt a village and prop them and help them grow educationally, nutritiously , concsciosuly. This is the real scene of India. We also must remember the Saari kand of Lucknow. Due to poverty, the poor public of India starts to competite for finding somethig. We can remember also the recruitment case, where youth were killed due to rush.

the recent stampede at math is actually fabricated by someone,the saint has been carrying out this bhandara from several years but never such a tragic incident has happened..this is a clear fight for supermacy within the circle of all sadhu’s and saints all around INDIA..no godman is saint..but these godmen are actually trapped through various sting operations..and this is a clear sign of a v.popular guru called RAMDEV BABA..this man is v.v.ambitious and can go to any lengths to atain that single biggest yog guru in INDIA and abroad..jitne zayada baba logo ke kand expose honge utne zayada devotees ramdev ki sharan main jayenge..umeed hain singh sahab aap humari baat se ittefaq rakhenge.

Passing the Psychology and physical tests will ensure the well being of public . It will reduce the sadist, corrupt and fanatic elements from Administration.
The Administration will become more efficient and compassionate as it should be always and paid for.
I did not said that the steps suggested by me should be implemented by Center only. Both Center and State should implement the correct steps right from the selection of Official.
What we need now is complete overhaul of our Administrative system which is just sucking money and energy.
The very sad Tragedy that happened in Kripalu Baba’s Ashram can be stopped if we have administration that donot take bribe for filing FIR , registration of property etc.

I am a great fan of yours since last 15 years. The only thing i doesnt like about you was ur association with SP. This was because i always use to see you as a change agent, progressive politician and advocate for Development, but stucked in a worng place.
I am very sure that if you would have spent the same energy in any democratic party such as Congress or BJP, you would have been atleast Home or Defence or External Affairs minister if not PM.
Its unfortunate about Bharat that people still have penchant for anything which is free as well as the \babas\, and this problem is not only with poor but across the middle class too, i still remeber that after pravachan of these so called \babas\, there is so much of push and jostle happening at their pandaals for \prasad\ as well as \flowers\ etc. thrown by babas. people just fight to get a banana, a rose, a piece of coconut, and whatever baba and his disciples throw at crowd.
Common Indians just dont know what is sprituality and religion, they just carried forward by these babas blindfolded.
I pray that with advent of education people become more humane and sensible and stop particiapting is such ocasions and gatherings of these Babas.

In south all SADGURUS run schools, colleges,Hospitals,orphanages etc out of money earned in the name of God. Even in Communist ruled states situation is better, see mother Teressa, Chinnamaya mission etc. But in Hindi belt specially in BEMARU states, these jokers are playing havoc. None of them worth any respect, be it Kripalu,Asharam,Daddaji,a whole lot appearing on Aashtha channel. These frauds are all good orators nothing else. All of them are married(Grahashtha) or involved in illicit relationships, some of them like Asharam heave become land Mafia. All they are doing is maligning a GREAT RELIGION Hinduism.See baba Ramdev,Kirat ji,Bapu from Gujarat,Sri Ravi shankarji,Jaggi Maharaj,all Shankracharyas(except Sharshwati nandji-Gotegaon Jabalpur wale), all the Jain munis, specially Vidya nandji. We must respect those who have renounced the worldly relations and materialistic things for the betterment of the society. Not these frauds. Krapalu maharaj must be jailed for murder of 65 people and Tax evasion. He was also booked abroad in some sex s candle. Its unfortunate that only rotten BABAS are being discussed in the media. We have lacs of them worth worshiping beyond Gangotri, Kailash mansarover. We have to blame poverty of the people for this tragedy. Blaming the state government or any baba will not do. The Congress government which has ruled the roost for more than fifty out of sixty two years is to blame for the continuing existence of people below the poverty line. Those women who had gone there went to collect Rs.20/ with some utensils and a handkerchief from the Baba as reports say. The question is why should people have to tredge long distances for such paltry amount? Poverty is responsible.Those who have a vested in people’s poverty are also responsible. HOwever it has given leaders a chance to shed crocodile tears on the plight of the people.
